The clocks by AgathaChristie

Published the 7 November 1963

Agatha Christie was born 15 September 1890 made the best-selling mystery novellas series of all time.

“The clocks” is a mystery novella talking about how a young girl named Sheila Webb working at the Cavendish Secretarial Bureau. After arriving at 19 Wilbraham Crescent for a job she was expecting to walk in an elderly woman the only thing she found was the dead body of a stabbed man surrounded by four clocks announcing its 4:13PM even the cuckoo clock 3PM…

I really enjoyed reading this novel throughout my vacation for several reasons:

I loved the fact that even if Poirot solves the mystery, the story is mostly narrated by Colin Lamb, a British Special Agent. It adds a whole new parallel story to the main plot, first Colin Lamb struggling to solve the main crime, who is the murderer? And then Poirot resolving not only the main crime but also smaller ones here and there like why Geraldine Brown is spending her days spying on her neighbors from her bedroom window? Without stepping one foot on 19 Wilbraham Crescent, the crime scene, which I think was amazing!

The clocks will play with your detective sense throughout the novel so be prepared to solve some crimes!!
